Does God Give Christians Authority over Non-Christians?
The life Jesus lived, the price Christ paid and the POWER of Jesus' resurrection from the dead, allow Jesus to offer MORE THAN YOU CAN IMAGINE to his children, those who believe in and obey Him. What Jesus' offers is SO OUTRAGOUESLY over the top, he's actually opened the door, to the possibility that Christians, may have within their power,
a right to offer "get out of Hell passes" at their discretion.
I'm hoping God will allow me to summon Christopher Hitchens to be my man-servant.
Isaiah 14:2 Nations will take them and bring them to their own place. And the house of Israel will possess the nations as menservants and maidservants in the LORD's land. They will make captives of their captors and rule over their oppressors.
Oh yes...there WILL BE A SLAVE CLASS in the next life. You can't always tell now, but soon, the difference between SON OF GOD and pagan will be as a BRIGHT STAR to a blob of black tar. (Mal 3:16-18)
It's EVERYWHERE in Scripture. If I were you, I'd be very nice to Christians if Jesus is not your Lord. Better still, make your OWN DEAL with Christ, while you still can.
It can all be summed up with this verse:
Psalm 2:1-12 Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain? 2 The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the LORD and against his Anointed One. 3 "Let us break their chains," they say, "and throw off their fetters." 4 The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them. 5 Then he rebukes them in his anger and terrifies them in his wrath, saying, 6 "I have installed my King on Zion, my holy hill." 7 I will proclaim the decree of the LORD: He said to me, "You are my Son; today I have become your Father. 8 Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession. 9 You will rule them with an iron scepter; you will dash them to pieces like pottery." 10 Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth. 11 Serve the LORD with fear and rejoice with trembling. 12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry and you be destroyed in your way, for his wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed are all who take refuge in him. (cf. Rev 2.27, 12.5, 19.15)
Because I love Christopher Hitchens more than his own Mother, more than ANYONE CAN IMAGINE, I've set out to help him. He escaped my grasp here on earth but...
Here is the case I will present to God to attenuate the recompense owed to Christopher Hitchens for his rebellion. The following verses are just some of the many, making it clear, that GOD ALLOWS MEN to offer forgiveness or to withhold it, to bind or loose, at their discretion, and Jesus says these determinations will reverberate through to the Other Side, beyond the grave.
1 Corinthians 15:51-58 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed-- 52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.
53 For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. ... 55 "Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?" 56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
Acts 27:23-25 Last night an angel of the God whose I am and whom I serve stood beside me 24 and said, 'Do not be afraid, Paul. You must stand trial before Caesar; and God has graciously given you the lives of all who sail with you.' 25 So keep up your courage, men, for I have faith in God that it will happen just as he told me.
Matthew 16:18-19 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."
Ruling multiple kingdoms and cities.
Luke 19:17 Well done, my good servant!' his master replied. 'Because you have been trustworthy in a very small matter, take charge of ten cities.'
Revelation 3:19-22 Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest, and repent. 20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me. 21 To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne. 22 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."
Luke 22:29-30 And I confer on you a kingdom, just as my Father conferred one on me, 30 so that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom and sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
The people that despised you admit they were wrong and ask you to transfer a good name upon them.
Isaiah 4:1-2 Isaiah 4:1 In that day seven women will take hold of one man and say, "We will eat our own food and provide our own clothes; only let us be called by your name. Take away our disgrace!" 2 In that day the Branch of the LORD will be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the land will be the pride and glory of the survivors in Israel.
Isaiah 60:16 You will drink the milk of nations and be nursed at royal breasts. Then you will know that I, the LORD, am your Savior, your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.
Isaiah 60:22 The least of you will become a thousand, the smallest a mighty nation. I am the LORD; in its time I will do this swiftly.
Former arrogant critics offer acts of contrition as they slip into your bonds:
Isaiah 45:14 The products of Egypt and the merchandise of Cush, and those tall Sabeans-- they will come over to you and will be yours; they will trudge behind you, coming over to you in chains. They will bow down before you and plead with you, saying, 'Surely God is with you, and there is no other; there is no other god.'"
This sounds like a free-for-all:

Some might say that's just for Peter or the church but here it seems more general:
Every prayer is answered, not necessarily on earth, because Jesus' kingdom is not of this world. Notice how earth prayers are answered in Heaven.
Matthew 18:18-19 I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. 19 "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven.
God Gives Christians All things:
Romans 8:32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all-- how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?
What does God mean by all things?
1 Corinthians 3:21-23 All things are yours, 22 whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future-- all are yours, 23 and you are of Christ, and Christ is of God.
More than we can Imagine
Ephesians 3:19-21 - that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. 20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus
For Christians, the answer is Always YES IN CHRIST.
2 Corinthians 1:19-20 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by me and Silas and Timothy, was not "Yes" and "No," but in him it has always been "Yes." 20 For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God.
What Man is the Rival of Jesus Christ? There's not even a close second.
